Standing desk of what appears to be tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) with a gallery and a fixed, sloping writing surface, and a single, full-width drawer. Dovetailed drawer joinery, single drawer divider, and swirl-carved hickory (Carya spp.) knobs. Drawer has a half-mortise lock still in place, no key. Painted dark red and varnished.
