Description
Oval box form. A solid birch block (cut down from a larger size form) cut to shape and cross-wise in half. Iron plates are screwed to the ends of the two halves with holes in each of the eight corners which pair up when held together. Nuts and bolts adjusted to allow approximately 1/8" movement between the two halves are inserted through these pairs of corner holes. Brass bushings which engage the iron cylinders of the vise, 1961.12886.1, are set into each half as are brass plates on one side which serve as anvils for clinch tacking the oval box swallowtails.
