Last, Shoe
Shoe last
Description
Lightly-colored wood block cut in the form of a shoe with a removable instep wedge, which is not present. The last has a round toe. After the toe cap there is a cut in the last at an obtuse angle. The cut is 3/8" down, then slopes upward before plateauing at top. Below the top there is a through-hole. From the top the heel curve extends to the seat. The seat sides are curved to form the waist before growing to the widest point at the last joints then tapering to form the toe. The seat is relatively clear of nail holes, except for the heel.
