Description

Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The last comprises two separate blocks secured with a piece of straw/string with flushed edges. The top piece begins at the joint and continues past the instep forming half of the top where is meets the bottom of the last. At the instep there is a through-hole 1/4" in diameter. The bottom portion of the last is cut at an angle to allow for the upper piece. The bottom piece has a through-hole 1/4" in diameter below the top. From the top the heel curve extends 2 7/16" to the seat. The seat's sides are curved to form the waist and widen to the joint before tapering slightly to form a square-toe. At the exterior side of the waist there is a semi-circular piece of leather attached by metal nails. Nail holes on the seat follow the outline of the last's sides.
