Description
Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The shoe last has an almond-shaped toe, from which the height of the last increases toward the instep. Following the instep is a flat oval top with a scratched inscription. 7/16" below the top is a through-hole 1/4" in diameter. On the left side of the forepart there is a piece of leather attached by metal nails. The opposite side has a similarly-sized outline as the leather piece. The height of the last increases toward the instep and then plateaus. The instep has been shaved straight. The top has an inscription. Below the top is a through-hole 1/4" in diameter. From the top the heel curve extends 2 7/16" to the seat. The seat curves to form the waist and widens to the joint and tapers to the toe. The sole has numerous nail holes along the edges following the sides.
