Description

Sugar maple oval box (a) and lid (b) rims. Two swallow-tails on the box and one on the lid, secured with copper tacks. Pine headers attached to rims with metal points. Finished with a warm yellow-brown stain.

Notes

The box was given to the donor in 1892 by one of the Mount Lebanon Sisters (and biological twins) Catherine or Phoebe Van Houten, to whom the donor was distantly related.
