Description

Sewing desk of black walnut (Juglans nigra) with white pine (Pinus strobus) secondary. Two drawers in base, four in gallery. Base drawers have dovetailed front joints, nailed joints in rear. Gallery drawers have all joints nailed. Drawers each have one turned walnut knob centered in fronts. Natural finish.

Notes

This piece was reportedly made at the Groveland, NY, community and taken to Mount Lebanon when Groveland closed.
