Description

Well-made specialty rake with between-centers turned ash handle with largest diameter at rake end, 15/16" tapering to 7/16" at other end. Handle is through mortised into tine ash bar and pinned with a wooden peg. Between-centers turned hickory tines are through-mortised into tine bar and wedged. Two concentric semi-circular hickory braces are inserted through handle and through mortised into tine bar and pinned there with wooden pegs. Rake has 16 tines. Metal plate riveted to the underside of the rake handle approximately one-third of the way from end to the rake assembly.
