Description
#5 production rocking chair with arms and shawl bar, made of maple. Red and black tape seat and back. Rocker blades secured in slots in post bottoms and pinned with wooden pegs through post bottom and rocker blades as well as by wooden pegs inserted vertically through blades extending into end grain of post bottoms. Dark stain. Twill weave on back and padding original to chair. Plain woven seat tape original but removed, pad replaced with foam rubber, and original tape rewoven with un-worn tape in the seat top and the worn portions of tape on underside and covered with black cloth. Decal and stamped "5" on inside of proper right rocker.
