Description

Metal plier punch for leather-working. One jaw has a tapered cylindrical bit on its inside face with the small end toward the other jaw. Opposite the bit is a brass anvil or pad to protect the cutting edge of the pliers on the other jaw. The handles are bowed and their exterior edge rounded. There is a thin piece of metal with attached one end to the interior of one handle while the other end is slightly curved and touches the other handle. In this configuration the metal piece acts as a spring, so that the pliers remains open until squeezed.
