Description

Between-centers turned kitten-head basket mold made of white pine. Top carved to a square and slightly relieved. 3/4" x 2 3/4" spigot turned into bottom with a blind hole 7/8" in diameter drilled through its center and on into the body of the mold. Scribed 2" below the top. Rim of the spigot broken off along 3/4" of its circumference. Macerated wood at the corners renewed by inserting pine dowels 1/2" in diameter. Pin holes in the top plugged with slivers of pine.
