Grenadine wool net cap. Open weave, looks like tulle netting or a leno weave. Gathers and pleats at back. No fabric facing strip on interior pleats. Along front edge and again approximately 1 1/4" in there is a piece of stiffened wool (?) cording to help hold shape and stabilize. Gathers and pleats have a slightly blue cast to them, probably from the bluing to whiten.
