Description
Coopered pail with white pine staves and bottom, two iron or steel hoops, an iron or steel wire bail with a between-centers turned birch handle, and two iron or steel diamond-shaped bail plates riveted to the outside of the pail near its top. Pail was turned on special lather after assembly to obtain smooth circular interior. Painted bright yellow outside, inside stained brown.
