Description
Cast silver medal with engraved or chased inscription in a fitted case of black molded composite with brass hinges. Front cast with wreath of grains, vegetables, and fruit; "New York State Agricultural Society" around outside. Engraved in center, "To the Shaker Sisters Mt Lebanon NY for their Fancy Straw Work. Albany, 1873." On reverse is cast female figure with wreath in one hand, cornucopia in other, and sheaves of grain behind. Labeled "Ceres" at bottom.
