Steam-bent curly maple box (a) and lid (b) rims, and a straight-grain maple swing handle. Four swallow-tails on the box rim and one on the lid, secured with copper tacks. Headers of 1/4" Douglas fir plywood, held in place with copper tacks. Swing handle pivots on copper trunk rivets, with copper burrs for retainers and spacers. Coated with varnish over natural wood.
