Description

Oval box (a) has a steam-bent white oak rim with three swallow-tails pointing left, secured by copper tacks. White pine bottom header held by wire brads. Lid (b) consists of a steam-bent hickory rim with a single swallow-tail pointing left, secured by copper tacks, and a hickory top header held by wire brads. Limed finish, varnished over. Box contains flakes of an amber-colored material, perhaps hide glue or resin, but this is not noted on accession information.

Made for sale in the Shaker Store by Brother Delmer C. Wilson when he was 81 years old.
