Description

Block laminated of maple plates and cherry fillers with chestnut sheaves and held together by four iron pins with heads on one side and peened over against washers on other. Block strapped with iron band holding an iron axle in place for sheaves to rotate. Top end block has eye and iron ring; bottom has integral loop encircled by eye of open hook which is hammer welded shut.
