Notes

One of two L-shaped rugs in the museum's collection made by Eldress Sarah Collins. They were made to be placed in hallways at the foot of staircases, a high traffic area. A very similar one can be seen in this historic photograph in the museum's collection showing a hallway at the North Family dwelling: https://shakerml.org/object/?id=16565.
