Description

Four-gallon stoneware crock (a) and lid (b) with salt glaze. Outside of crock is glossy tan; inside coated with dark brown Albany slip. Crock features cobalt slip painted floral motif. What appear to be throwing lines run up crock to base of handles. Crock has two lug handles, one on each side. Outer and inner lid are glossy tan. Rest of inside lid is naked, matte yellow. Top of lid features relief of grapes and leaves.
