Description
Rectangle-shaped woven poplar wood box with lid. Lid and bottom edges are trimmed in white kid leather "skiver," and top edge is lined with bolstered pink and white rough satin. Two decorative pale pink bows are on the lids top left and right corners; the bottom edge of lid has a matching bow with attached elastic loop and bow that loops over circular bead 3/8" in diameter. Inside is lined with rough satin with pink and white floral design. Outside base is made with embossed paper that has a pink and taupe design. Part of the Shakers' fancy goods industry.
