Description

Hanging cupboard of pine with a single door, hinged with two iron but hinges. Interior has three full shelves and one partial depth shelf in addition to the top and bottom. A face-frame mortised and tenoned at the top is secured to the case by nails, as are the two boards that make up the back. Shelves, top, bottom and bottom rail butted to ends and back and nailed. Door is frame and a single panel with the nails through mortised into the stiles and pinned. Cupboard was built in at top and proper left end and so that end is unpainted. Proper right front arris has a 3/16" quick bend. Door has a 1 1/16" diameter maple between-centers turned knob and had, at some time, a surface mounted lock and an escutcheon. Exterior front and proper right end as well as interior painted bright yellow.
