Description

Folding chalkboard of white pine. Two single boards 25 1/4" wide hinged together along common edge with three commercial steel strap hinges secured by steel flat-head screws. Top edge has two steel screw eyes for hanging. Other three sides have pine 1" x 2" stock butted and nailed to them such that approximately 1" of wood is proud of the chalkboard surface. The protrusion of the trim along the bottom edge is routed out to form a chalk tray. The writing surface as well as the trim surfaces visible from the front are painted flat black.
