Description
#3 Mount Lebanon production side chair with turnings of diminutive proportions, atypical pommels, and a rush seat. Wood probably birch or maple but dark stain makes identification difficult. Chair stained a very dark red-brown and coated with a heavy coat of varnish that has heavily alligatored. "3" is impressed on the back of top slat. Mount Lebanon Shakers Trademark decal on the back of bottom slat.
