Doorbell
Description
Brass bell secured to the top of a coiled steel spring. This spring is fastened to a birch support hinged to a birch bracket support and held at an angle by a flat steel spring. A piece of heavy twine is knotted to an iron staple eye which is fastened to the other end of the tapered bell support. The twine passes through a hole in the rear of the bracket support and through a pine bracket and terminates in a between-centers turned birch ovoid shaped pull. The pine bracket is mitered to a similarly mitered vertical support for fastening bell assembly to a wall or door jamb and held with two brass right-angle brackets.
