Oval box painted red, attributed to Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Steam-bent maple oval box (a) and lid (b) rims. Two swallow-tails on the box, and one on the lid, all pointing right, and secured by copper tacks. A white pine top header is held by iron cut brads or points. The white pine bottom header is held by some sort of round-head iron nail. Painted red and varnished over. This box is the number four size, cut down, in an eleven-box series.
