Mitten

Description

Left hand mitten (a) covered with cream-colored heavy sheep wool. Underside of mitten has an area of dark brown, Shaker-woven cloth, shaped to echo the mittens form, about 5" from bottom, measuring 4" wide by 7 1/2" long. Opening for hand is about 6" wide and has about a 1" wide border on the interior made of dark brown leather. Slit extending up from bottom opening for 2 3/4" on side opposite thumb. Lined in taupe-colored wool. Right hand mitten (b).
