Popcorn ball press made by Brother Alexander Y. Cochrane, Canterbury, NH
Description
Press formed of solid wood cylinder with hemispherical end attached by metal ring to curving arm that pivots on tapered upright. Wood cylinder rests in a hollow sheet metal tube on round base piece to form molasses popcorn ball. Rectangular wood block base with cut-outs from bottom edge of short ends. Round ball base screwed to block base; upright fits into opening in block, supported by flat wood piece screwed into base of upright.
