Basket inscribed "EH" and "LN", Sabbathday Lake, ME
Description
Circular black ash splint basket with split rim, single and crossed lashing. Half-round rim. 3/8" - 5/8" uprights, 3/8" weavers. 6 7/8" wide split upright in the center of the base. Double grip "ear" handles, double notched, attached on exterior.

According to acquisition records, this basket was purchased from the Canterbury, NH Shakers, but originally came from Sabbathday Lake, ME.
