Poplar box with divided trays, Hancock, MA
Description
Poplar wood box (a) with hinged lid. Stained dark maple, nice finish. Nailed corners. Mortised lock and key (e). Inside tray (b) that contains two smaller trays (c) and (d), one divided in half and the other with rounded bottom. Large tray is 2 1/8" high x 8 5/8" wide x 7 1/8" deep. The two smaller trays it contains are 1" high x 2" wide x 6 3/8" deep. One small tray is divided equally in half. The second small tray has a rounded bottom.
