Irregularly shaped piece of cherry with turned tapered shaft at bottom to fit into corresponding mortise on spinning wheel. Attached to the spinning wheel is a maple yoke held in place by a threaded wooden shaft with an oak nut. The yoke holds a turned multiple pulley which rotates on a steel shaft.
