Description

Oval base, curved sides, oval rim with raised oval lid. Uprights are poplar dowels 1/16" w. Weavers: reeds woven in diagonal fashion. Mid-way there are two flattened poplar pieces, approximately 1/4" w, each single-lashed. Two braided twisted swing handles attached under lid lip, as are metal handles. Lid: comes down over basket 1/2" hinged with weavers on side; 1 1/2" h and has rectangular design 6" x 1" in center. Single lashed. "Figure-8" attached to lid for purposes of closure, 2" long.
