Description
Proper left side wrought iron rail with three balusters and two newel posts from first North Family dwelling. A boot scraper and debris shield are riveted to the lower rail. The lower baluster (a) is removable. The lower newel is pinned to a stub through-mortised and secured to the hand rail, allowing the newel to swing through a limited arc. Its forward swing is stopped by the end scroll on the hand rail and its backward swing is limited by the stub to which it is pinned.
