Description

Lamp base (a) (originally oil but electrified by the Shakers. Modification to electric eliminated holder for chimney so no chimney.) and glass shade (b). Lamp base has an ornate cast brass base to which is secured an embossed and paned glass or porcelain urn sitting in a stamped brass cup. The brass oil font sets into the top of this urn with the remnants of the original oil burner and the added electric light bulb socket with pull chain along with the wire arms which support the side. The shade is of glass with dark green exterior and white inside.
