Small pail with loose lid at tin-plated sheet metal. Pail has wire bail, crimped and soldered joints and posts securing bail inserted through walls and soldered. Lid is a single piece of tin-plate stamped to form lid.
The strainer was purchased by the donor from Edgar Crete, a caretaker at the Hancock Shaker community.
