No. 6827 issue of The New York Herald, published July 3, 1851. On the fifth page, on the second column from left, is a piece titled "Our Fashionable Correspondence," with the dateline of June 30, 1851, at Columbia Hall, Lebanon Springs, N.Y., the author, identified only as "P.," describes attending a public worship meeting at the Mount Lebanon Meetinghouse.
