The illustration cataloged here is the same wood engraving reprinted in Pictorial History of the State of New York; Being a general collection of the most interesting facts,. . . of the counties, cities, and principal villages, throughout the state by John Warner Barber and Henry Howe, [Cooperstown: H. & E. Phinney, 1846], p. 78. The illustration is included in the section about Columbia County, New York (pp. 76-79). Differentiating copies of this illustration published in Pictorial History of the State of New York from those published in Historical Collection of the State of New York is very difficult without some of the surrounding text.
