Two journals consisting of a 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 36" support of ash (Fraxinus americana) to which a two-piece cast iron bearing housing is attached with two carriage bolts, washers, and nuts. The round hole for the shaft is lined with babbitt metal. On the top of the housing is an oil reservoir with two holes through the housing and babbitt metal bearing.
