Barrel header consisting of a wood cross-bar of maple (Acer spp.) with a steel screw through a steel fitting in the center of the bar. A T-fitting at the top of the screw holds a turned, 7/8" diameter, hickory (Carya spp.) handle. Attached to the screw bottom is an iron circular pressure head (15" dia.) with four arced "spokes." An iron strap with corner brace is attached to each end of the cross-bar. Each of these straps has a right angle bend at the bottom to hook onto a barrel.
