Description

Oak post (probably white, Quercus alba) with 3/4" x 6 1/4" iron strap nailed to face near top. Thickness is tapered, from 5/8" at top nail, to 3/8" at bottom nail. Post is also tapered, from about 3 1/2" at top to about 1 3/4" at bottom. Heavily weathered.
