Description

Cupboard (?) panel of butternut (Juglans cinerea). Two flat panels with center stile blind tenoned into top and bottom rails. Both rails are through-tenoned in outer stiles. All mortise and tenon joints are pinned. Rail and stile edges surrounding panels are molded to a quarter round. Outside painted red, inside unfinished. Outside stile edges are rabbeted. Top, proper left edge of stile has rabbet removed 4 5/8" down from top and near center of square edge section, a hole is drilled through width of stile and a knotted piece of about 3/16" diameter rope was inserted through this hole.
