Steel broom needle (cast?) 1/8" thick at center tapering to 1/16" at ends. Similarly, its width at its center, 3/8" at center, tapers to a rounded point at each end. An approximately 3/16" x 2" depression is machined or cast into each side of the needle center and a 7/64" diameter hole is drilled through the center.
