Description

A clamping jig for some unknown purpose. The clamp consists of two steel clad "jaws" symmetrically curved (concave). The shape is produced by a rounded end wedge shaped maple block at each end of each "jaw." Turned maple thumb screws with 1/2" diameter threaded shafts are fixed in the ends of one "jaw." These screw into tapped 3/8" diameter holes in the ends of the other jaw and allow two jaws to be held tightly together. The steel bands are riveted through the maple blocks and their sides are scored vertically at the center of the curves of the two scored squares on one side produced by the scored lines.
