Description

Cast iron object consisting of a rectangular bar with a raised center and a small flange at either end projecting in the opposite direction from the two half-octagons projecting from the other side. One half-octagon is 1 1/2" across, the other 2 3/32" across. The cross-sectional surfaces of these half-octagons on the same side of the flanges have been dimpled to form a circle of dots around a dot at the center. The smaller half-octagon has a circle of fifteen dots around its center while the larger has twenty-three. The only signs of wear on this object occur around these circles of dots.
