Sale container for dried sweet corn. Container of beech (Fagus grandifolia) veneer bent into a cylinder and overlap glued with top and bottom of same wood species crimped into tin-plated metal bands bent to a circle and soldered. White paper label printed in green and red: "Shakers / Cooked and Dried / Green Sweet Corn. / 2 Pounds. / Address orders to / Isaac Augur, Agent, / Shakers at West Pittsfield, / Berkshire Co., Mass.", also directions and other label text.
