Funnel rack, Center Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Funnel rack consisting of a cross-bar (5/8 x 2 1/4 x 13") of beech (Fagus grandifolia) with four slotted holes, heavily chamfered, to hold funnels (two of 2 5/8" diameter, two of 2 1/8" diameter) and a center hole (13/16" diameter) with a collar fastened below, also with a 13/16" diameter hole, that slips over a 13/16" diameter beech standard with a threaded 5/8" diameter stud on its bottom. The collar has a tapped 1/2" diameter hole through one side into which a maple (Acer spp.) thumbscrew is threaded, allowing the cross bar to be locked into position anywhere along the standard. The standard is threaded into a 5/8" diameter tapped hole in a white pine (Pinus strobus) cleat that is not original to the rack.
