Yellow syrup pail with copper lip, Canterbury, NH
Description
Coopered syrup pail with pine staves and bottom, iron wire bail with between-centers turned birch handle attached to iron tear-drop shaped bail plates riveted to sides of bucket at top. Two iron hoops hold the staves in place. A copper lip was fashioned to fit bucket and is attached with copper tacks. Bucket tapers upward. Painted yellow outside, inside dark brown stain.
