Description

A bootjack of maple (Acer spp.) cut to shape on a bandsaw (?) and edges crudely rounded with a spokeshave. Fork of jack lined with a black-coated canvas belting which is held in place with iron nails. The jaws are held above the ground at an angle by means of a cleat with an angled top which is screwed to the bottom of the jack with two iron wood screws. An 11/16" diameter hanging hole is roughly centered near the rear of the jack.
