Real photo postcard of a group of Shakers at the South Family, Watervliet. The picture includes two brothers, twelve sisters, one young school boy, and five young school girls. Another copy of this postcard (1960.12247.2) has the subjects of the photograph identified by Sister Mary Dahm in 1960. The back of this card has the following inscriptions: At the top of the card: "Group of Shakers," followed by "Dear Will: Will you please forgive me I love you the same as I ever did. You are never forgotten day in, day out. I got [erased word] by the talk of others and I never blamed you."
