Description

Marking jig for turning balusters for a desk (gallery?). Jig is made of maple (Acer spp.) and has eight points (tips of cut nails) protruding from an edge. 1/2" hole in one end for hanging.

Notes

Each point represents a feature on the turned baluster and by holding the points against a spinning baluster blank in the lathe, the position of these features along the baluster length is established.
