Description

Wooden chest with white pine sides, tulip poplar lid and bottom, and cherry end cleats on lid. Sides butted and nailed to front and back. Lid has been rehinged using surface-mounted drop leaf table hinges. Leather handles nailed to front. Three cleats nailed to front, back, and bottom across grain. Exterior originally painted or washed with salmon-colored coating.
